Finance Minister Dr. Wagle to India for 3 days leading a 6-member delegation

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is going on a three-day visit to India at the invitation of the Government of India. The Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday approved his visit to India.

He will leave for New Delhi, the capital of India, leading a 6-member delegation on Thursday. The delegation will include officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of External Affairs.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the main objective of the visit is to collaborate on various dimensions of economic, political and diplomatic issues between the two countries, including post-disaster reconstruction.

He will meet his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman at 5 pm on Thursday.

Similarly, on Friday, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle met Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is scheduled to meet. On the same day, he will participate as the chief guest in a high-level diplomatic dialogue program organized by former Foreign Secretary of India Shyam Saran.

On Friday, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle will participate in the mega meeting organized by Javed Ashraf, President of the India Trade Promotion Organization.

The Finance Minister will be the keynote speaker at a conference with prominent business houses to be organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry on Saturday morning.

On Saturday afternoon, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle will participate as the chief guest at an academic discussion on development economics organized by the Delhi School of Economics. He is scheduled to return to Nepal on Saturday evening.
