Cabinet decides to reduce 134 posts in Bagmati Municipality to increase the number of offices to 180

Hetauda. The Bagmati Province government has approved the draft of the Organization and Management (ONM) survey of the offices and bodies under the province and decided to reduce the existing posts by 134 posts.

A meeting of the Province Council of Ministers held on Thursday decided to reduce the number of offices in the province to 4,680 from the existing 4,814.

Spokesperson of the state government and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Bharat Bahadur KC said that the draft of the ONM survey has been approved and the posts will be reduced by 134 accordingly.

The meeting has approved the temporary posts of 24 employees from member secretary to office assistant for the problematic cooperative management committee of Bagmati Province. Minister KC said that these temporary posts will be automatically terminated after the completion of the committee’s work.

The meeting also approved the resignation tendered by Niranjan Shrestha, chief of the Province Forest Service Centre under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Forest and Environment, according to spokesperson KC.
