Kathmandu. In the first month of the current fiscal year, the commercial banks have earned a net profit of Rs 9.75 billion. According to the data released by the Nepal Rastra Bank, the 20 commercial banks in operation have earned a net profit of Rs 8.73 billion in the first month of the current fiscal year.
Nabil Bank is the highest profit-making bank in July. Nabil Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 88.31 crore in a month.
Global IME Bank is in the second position after Nabil in terms of profit. Global IME Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 81.36 crore in July. Similarly, Nepal Investment Mega Bank has earned a profit of Rs 73.44 crore.
Kumari Bank and Rastriya Banijya Bank earned a net profit of Rs 52.39 crore in July. Similarly, Prime Commercial Bank earned a profit of Rs 52.18 crore.
Similarly, Laxmi Sunrise Bank earned a net profit of Rs 49.67 crore, Everest Bank Rs 49.21 crore and NMB Bank Rs 47.90 crore.
Similarly, Siddhartha Bank earned net profit of Rs 42.94 crore, Agricultural Development Bank Rs 38.82 crore and Sanima Bank Rs 38.28 crore.
Prabhu Bank earned a net profit of Rs 32.93 crore while Nepal Bank earned a profit of Rs 30.86 crore. Similarly, Himalayan Bank and Machhapuchchhre Bank earned a net profit of Rs 27.27 crore.
Citizens Bank earned a net profit of Rs 25.92 crore in July. Similarly, NIC Asia Bank and Standard Chartered Bank Nepal earned a profit of Rs 22.17 crore.
Nepal SBI Bank is the lowest profitable commercial bank in the month of July. Nepal SBI Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 17.59 crore in the first month, according to the data.
