Landslide obstructs Chimkhola-Ghyasikark road in Malang

Myagdi. Normal life has been affected due to the obstruction of the Chimkhola-Ghyasikark road in Raghuganga Rural Municipality of Myagdi.
Residents of two wards have been facing problems in transportation, transportation and sale of agricultural and livestock products in the market since the last week of June after a landslide swept away the road at Malang in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-7. Nara Prasad Chhantyal of Manglekhani of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-8 said that normal life has been affected due to the road obstruction.
He said that there is a problem in taking the patients to the hospital, commuting to the rural municipality center and district headquarters and transporting foodstuffs, daily consumables and potatoes and other agricultural products to the market.TAG_OPEN_div_21
Traffic has been cut off from Namila of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-7, Manglekhani, Ghyasikarka, Chaurkhani, Dhand, Duwadi and Patlekhark settlements of Ward No. 8. This road is used as an access road to reach the Chimkhola-Rahughat-Mangale dam, Thulokhola and Upper Thulokhola hydropower project sites.
The road has been damaged by a landslide at a distance of about 400 meters in Malang. It is also dangerous to travel on foot in the landslide-affected area. The Rahughat river is at the bottom of the landslide.

Due to the large landslide, the transport service in Malang has been disrupted every year during the rainy season for the last five years.
TAG_OPEN_div_13 Gaman Chhantyal, ward chairman of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-8, said that it is difficult to open the road as landslides occur immediately after the rainy season. He said that the initiative has been taken to clear the landslide on the road of Malang after the exit of Manusan.
