KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving for New York today, leading a high-level Nepali delegation to the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

His delegation includes Chief Advisor Kumar Byanjankar, Chief Personal Secretary Subash Sharma, Private Secretary Pradip Pariyar and Photographer Binay Shakya. Prime Minister Shah will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on a Qatar Airways flight at 4:15 pm today.

Prime Minister Shah will address the high-level session of the UNGA on September 24. The Nepali delegation led by Prime Minister Shah will include Minister for Foreign Affairs Sishir Khanal.

During his stay in New York, Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to meet UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to return home on September 10. This is Prime Minister Shah’s first foreign visit.
