Kathmandu. The Infrastructure Development Committee under the Federal Parliament and the House of Representatives has decided to form province-level sub-committees in all seven provinces.
The meeting held on August 18 formed the province-level sub-committee to carry out effective monitoring, study and evaluation of the projects and programmes being implemented at the province level on infrastructure development, energy, water resources and irrigation that fall under the committee’s purview.
The sub-committees will study and monitor the progress, management, implementation status and coordination with stakeholders of the projects and programs being run in the respective provinces.
Likewise, the committee will submit a report and suggestions after studying the issues related to the protection of public property and whether the government bodies have carried out works in accordance with the prevailing acts and regulations.
The committee has mandated the sub-committees to prepare a fact-based study report by carrying out on-site observation of the project and its location, holding discussions with the concerned bodies and stakeholders and interacting with experts and researchers.
