Kathmandu. The Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions (CBFIN) and Nepal Business Institute (NBI) are going to organize the Nepal Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2083 focusing on the main topics of AI, youth entrepreneurship and employment.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between CBFIN and NBI on Monday.

The theme of the conference is ‘NextGen Nepal: AI, Entrepreneurship and Future of Jobs’.

Rajesh Upadhyay, Acting President of CBFIN, said that the conference will be a milestone to further expand and commercialize the relationship between Nepal’s banking and financial sector and young entrepreneurs, focusing on financial access, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, innovation, and use of technology for job creation. He further stated that this collaboration between CBFIN and NBI will play an important role in promoting financial literacy, increasing the use of digital banking and developing a culture of responsible credit among young entrepreneurs, and will help in bringing innovative financial products of banks and financial institutions to the target groups and increase the safe lending investment in productive sectors.

Similarly, Executive Chairman of Nepal Business Institute, Bishal Gaire, stressed on the need to focus youths on production and employment for sustainable economic development of the country.

More than 400 industrialists and stakeholders from across the country are expected to be participating in the summit, which is expected to provide a clear direction for policy formulation and improve the investment climate for young entrepreneurs and the financial sector.

At a time when the external indicators of the country’s economy are strong and the low interest rate with sufficient liquidity, the conference is being organized at the initiative of CBFIN and NBI to guide the budding young entrepreneurs working in the field of entrepreneurship start-ups, new technology and innovation and will add a new dimension to the sustainable development of Nepal’s financial sector and promotion of youth entrepreneurship.
