Prithvi Highway and Narayangadh-Muglin road closed for an indefinite period

Chitwan. The Prithvi Highway and the Narayangadh-Muglin road have been closed until further notice.

The road has been closed in view of the possible risks and landslides caused by incessant rainfall since Thursday.TAG_OPEN_div_11

According to Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal, the vehicular movement has been halted from 8.00 pm on Thursday till 5.00 am today but the road has been closed until another notice following the incessant rainfall.TAG_OPEN_div_9

Vehicular movement along the Chitwan section has been halted due to landslides at different places along the Prithvi Highway, he said. More than 10,000 vehicles ply on the Narayangadh-Muglin road every day and more than 14,000 vehicles ply on the Prithvi Highway.
