Chitwan. The Narayangadh-Muglin road section and the Chitwan section of the Prithvi Highway have not yet come into operation due to the rains. Both the roads were obstructed due to landslides since 8 pm on Thursday.

Chief of the District Police Office, Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Poudel said that the road operation has been affected due to the landslide at several places.

Vehicles heading towards Pokhara and Narayangadh, which were stuck on the road, have been diverted this afternoon. He said that both the roads could not be brought into operation as landslides with stones and mud were falling at different places.

The road was opened one-way and the vehicles stopped in the afternoon were cut off. Vehicles coming from Thursday have been stranded on the road due to the road blockade. The local administration has banned the operation of vehicles in view of the risk.
