According to Dhan Bahadur Rajbanshi, information officer at the District Police Office, five families have been displaced after the landslide fell from above their house.

Vehicular services in Panchkhapan-Chainpur have been disrupted after a landslide occurred at Bhanjyangkharka in Chainpur-6 following incessant rains. The building of Bala Secondary School in Silichong Rural Municipality-2 is also at risk of landslides.

The District Administration Office has warned that the water level in the Arun, Barun, Hewa and Sabha rivers is continuously rising and urged the people to remain alert.
