Kathmandu. CPN-UML lawmaker Ain Bahadur Mahar has accused the government, which was formed on the strength of the Genji movement, defaming them instead of understanding their sentiments.

Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, Mahar accused the government of using Genji for its own interests. “The government has made Jenji a pot when it is needed and it is not needed,” he said.

Accusing the government of intimidating, intimidating, arresting and harassing its opponents, Mahar said such activities were against the rule of law and the rule of law.

He also criticised the government over the arrest of former Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana. Claiming that Rana was arrested from his house in the middle of the night in a “hooliganism-style”, he termed the incident as a “barbaric example of state terror”.

“The government has arrested the former chief justice of France, claiming to be the state as King Louis XIV said,” Mahar said. ’

He said that the government should not be formed to weaken the rule of law and rule of law, but to strengthen it. He said that no person should be above the law and should be arrested only on the basis of facts and law.

“No one is above the law and no one is above the question. The government can arrest anyone on the basis of facts and laws. We agree that the state should be brought under the ambit of the law,” he said.

However, Mahar alleged that the government had arrested former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana on the basis of prejudice. He claimed that CPN-UML leader Bishnu Poudel and others were arrested suddenly when they were on their way to Surkhet.

Accusing the government of carrying out a series of activities raising questions on the rule of law and rule of law since the formation of the government, Mahar urged the government to stop such activities.
