648 climbers from 69 countries allowed to climb mountains

Kathmandu. A total of 648 climbers from 69 countries have taken permission to climb various mountains in Nepal during the autumn season.

According to the information provided by the Department of Tourism, 648 climbers from 69 countries have been granted permission to climb 20 mountains of Nepal in the autumn of 2026. There are 71 groups of people who have taken the permission, of which 485 are male and 163 are female, according to Information Officer of the Department, Suraj Ghimire.TAG_OPEN_div_26

Of them, 17 are Australia, Canada 16, Japan 21, India 18, America 41, Britain 38, Spain 15, Switzerland 13, Russia 57, Poland 19, Nepal 20 and China 118.TAG_OPEN_div_24

Similarly, Germany 34, France 51, Belgium seven, Bulgaria five, Czech Republic 16 and Argentina seven. Similarly, climbers from other countries have also taken permission.TAG_OPEN_div_22

The department has collected Rs 23,TAG_OPEN_div_20 89,64,298 royalty from climbers for granting climbing permission. Among the mountains that have been granted permission to climb, the highest is Manaslu (8,163 meters). Only 500 climbers of 43 teams have taken permission to climb Manaslu. The department has collected Rs 22,58,57,189 royalty from them.

According to the Department, 34 people from four teams have taken permission to climb Dhaulagiri-1, 20 from two teams to climb Putha Peak, 16 from two teams have taken permission to climb Danga Peakpeak and 10 from one team have taken permission to climb Barunatse Peak.TAG_OPEN_div_18

Similarly, permission has been granted to Makalu, Gangapurna West (Langchenel), Thorong Peak, Norbu Khang, Annapurna-4, Chamlang, Lamjung Himal, Pumori, Saribung, Thapa Peak (Dhampus), Pokhara Khang, Ardang and Peri.TAG_OPEN_div_16

The Department has earned US$ 1,571,659 (Rs 238,TAG_OPEN_div_14 89,64,298) from the permission issued by the Department for mountaineering.
