Kathmandu. The NTTV service provided by Nepal Telecom through NT Fiber can now be used without a set-top box. The company has launched a virtual set-top box service for Android-based smart TV users.
According to the company, from September 15, the virtual set-top box will be available on Android TV. For this, the customer will have to find and install the ‘Smart NTTV’ app on his Android Smart TV through Google Play Store. After installing the app, the NTTV service can be used without the need for a set-top box.
Although Nepal Telecom currently provides this facility only for Android TV, it is preparing to launch a virtual set-top box that can be used in all types of smart TVs in the near future. The company says that this technology has been developed with the aim of providing television service to the customers in a more convenient and convenient manner.
Similarly, the customers who purchase the new package will get a discount of Rs 1,000 on purchase of the package which includes virtual set-top box.
Nepal Telecom has been providing telephone, high-speed internet, and television service through a single wire through NT Fiber. The company has also provided various packages for the customers who want to use NTTV service with a virtual set-top box.
