Jumla. The Karnali Province government has declared a public holiday in Jumla district today.

Laxmi TAG_OPEN_div_6 Kumar BK, secretary at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, said that the province government has declared a public holiday on the occasion of Ashoj Krishna Trayodashi every year as the Chandannath and Bhairavnath temples are held to draw lingo.

TAG_OPEN_div_4 Every year on the day of Asoj Krishna Trayodashi, a lingo is drawn at Chandannath and Bhairavnath temples. Raj Bahadur Mahat, coordinator of Civil Society Jumla, said that there is a tradition of taking out the old lingo and erecting a new lingo on the annual foundation day of the temple.
