Kathmandu. In solidarity with the communities affected by the devastating floods in Rasuwa-Trishuli-Bhotekoshi region, the employees of Kumari Bank Limited have voluntarily deducted their salary and contributed Rs 45,97,353.50 to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
The bank employees voluntarily collected the amount in solidarity with the affected communities who suffered huge human and material losses due to natural disasters. The money collected will be used for relief, rescue and rehabilitation programs through the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
Kumari Bank has always kept social responsibility as its top priority and has maintained the tradition of standing with the affected communities during disasters. The bank believes that this contribution of the employees has further strengthened human sensitivity, social cohesion and responsibility towards the nation.
Earlier, Kumari Bank had also provided Rs. 30 million to the Ministry of Home Affairs to support the relief, rescue, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the people affected by the Trishuli-Bhotekoshi floods. It had donated Rs. 3 crore to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs was provided with modern drones, power banks and generators worth Rs. 39 lakhs to make the rescue and relief work effective for the flood affected people.
