Budhi Gandaki floods: Nepal’s rescue team reaches flood-hit areas

Kathmandu. A rescue team of the Nepal Army has reached the areas affected by the flash floods of Budhigandaki. The rescue team of the Nepal Army has been mobilized after information that the flood along the banks of the river has damaged the flood in Chumnubri Rural Municipality-3 of Gorkha at around 4:30 am today.

According to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepal Army, the army team has been deployed in the affected areas by air and land for search and rescue after the floods. Both teams have assessed the situation of possible obstruction and the affected areas and have carried out an aerial rescue of six people from Jagat village, which is at risk of landslides.

The Composite Quick Response Team based in Kathmandu has been airlifted to the area and the team is urging the people living on the river banks and surrounding areas to move to safer places.
