Brahmacharini is the second goddess of the nine Durgas, believed to be constantly striving to make all beings in the world aware of Brahman in the form of Satchidanand.
On the second day of Navratri, Goddess Brahmacharini, the second of the nine Durgas, is worshipped in the Dashain house or puja room. Today, Goddess Brahmacharini is invoked at the place of worship and worshiped methodically.
There is a religious belief that worshipping the goddess on the occasion of Navratri will bring power, prosperity and knowledge. The followers of Vedic Sanatan Dharma worship Goddess Durga every year from Ashwin Shukla Pratipada to Navami. The prasad that is worshiped for nine days is applied from Vijayadashami to Kojagrat Purnima.
Devotees throng the Shakti Peeths across the country during Navratri. Similarly, Navdurga will be worshipped on behalf of the state and Goddess Brahmacharini will also be worshiped in the Dashain house of Hanumandhoka Durbar, according to the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Care Office.
