Kathmandu. The stock market closed higher on Monday, the first trading day of the week. On Monday, the NEPSE index increased by 4.00 points to close at 2595.81 points.

Although the stock market has increased today, the transaction amount has decreased. Shares worth Rs 4.83 billion were traded in the market on Friday, which was Rs 4.46 billion today.

Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, the indices of five sub-groups increased while the indices of 8 sub-groups declined. Shares of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. traded at a positive circuit level today.
