Kathmandu. There has been a general improvement in the stock market.

The index rose 8.23 points to 2,634.17 points on the last trading day before Dashain. The prices of 174 companies increased while the prices of 91 companies decreased in the trade.

A total of 1,337,489 units of shares of 348 companies were traded during the transaction period.

The indices of finance, investment, non-life insurance, others and trading sub-groups decreased while the indices of all other sub-groups decreased.

Investors of Chirkhwa Hydro, Beni Hydro Project, Shubham Power and Everest Color Company earned in the transaction. Similarly, the investors of Himalayan Everest Insurance, Nepal Reinsurance and Manju Shree Finance Company also lost losses.
