Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader Gokul Baskota has demanded the dismissal of Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle from Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen).

Leader Baskota took to Facebook to demand the dismissal of Dr Wagle.

Minister Dr. Wagle, who is also the Vice President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Addressing the ‘NDTV World Summit 2026’ organized in India on October 23, Baskota made this request regarding the statement that the era of nationalism associated with anti-India sentiment in Nepal has ended.

“Neither the United Nations, nor the university PhD was with him,” Baskota wrote on social media, “But Prithvi Narayan Shah pulled out the foreign relations and tied it to the thread of Katak-Jai Katak and two stone yams. Now the careless Nav Lhendup jumping? Kick out him, PM!”

There is a lot of criticism about Wagle’s statement.
