More than 12 roads obstructed across the country

Kathmandu. More than 12 road sections in the country, including the Prithvi Highway, have been obstructed due to floods and landslides.

The Karnali Highway at Barahatal Rural Municipality-7 in Surkhet has been completely obstructed due to a dry landslide since this morning. Similarly, the Khotang section of the Mid-Hill Highway has also been obstructed, while various sections of Lalitpur-Bagmati River Corridor and Kanti Lokpath have also been obstructed.

The vehicular movement along the corridor at Sundarighat, Balkhu, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-2 has been completely disrupted due to the rise in the water level due to incessant rainfall, according to the Nepal Police Headquarters. Similarly, the Kaligandaki Corridor road section at Rakse of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-2 in Gulmi district has been obstructed due to a landslide with mud from above the road.

Similarly, the Kaligandaki Corridor paved road section at Rampur Municipality-1, Kasiban in Palpa section of the Kaligandaki Corridor has been completely obstructed due to a landslide with stones from above, according to the Police Headquarters.
