Sunil Kumar Sonar arrested on charges of foreign employment fraud

Kathmandu. Sunil Kumar Sonar, 23, of Sakhuwa Prasauni rural municipality-6 in Parsa of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9 has been arrested on the charge of duping people of money on the pretext of sending them to Serbia on the pretext of attractive salary for foreign employment.

A police team deputed from The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Sunil from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10 on Thursday on the basis of a complaint filed by the victims that he had taken Rs 1 million from two victims on the pretext of sending him to Serbia.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, he has been handed over to the Department of Foreign Employment for action.

Meanwhile, two absconding defendants in the banking fraud case have also been arrested. Bishnu Bahadur Bhandari, 47, of Bandipur Rural Municipality-1, Tanahun and Prem Bahadur BK, 38, of Madi Rural Municipality-4, Rolpa, of Gongbu of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 have been arrested.

A police team from The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Bhandari from Maharajgunj of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3 on Friday after he was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment and fined Rs 1.1 million by the District Court, Kathmandu. Bk, who was absconding in the same case, was arrested from Gongbu of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 on Thursday.

Bhandari has been produced before the District Court, Kathmandu, while BK has been sent to the Area Police Office, Kohalpur.

Similarly, asari Limbu, 55, of Letang municipality-9, Morang, a resident of Imadol of Mahalaxmi Municipality-3 in Lalitpur, was also arrested on Friday.
