Kathmandu. The Health Insurance Board is going to remove the first service point. The board is going to come into effect from July 1.

Earlier, not only in government health institutions, the first service point is now going to be removed.

According to the provision made in sub-section (6) of Section 9 of the Second Amendment to the Health Insurance Act, 2074 and clause (g) of Rule 2 of the First Amendment to the Regulations, 2075, the first service point would remain only the government health institution.

So far, if you have to go to a hospital for treatment, you have to go to the service center where there is a recommendation. Now you don’t have to go for a recommendation.
