Kathmandu. At present, there is an influence of monsoon winds across the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the low pressure line of the monsoon is around the average place.

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudur Paschim provinces and at a few places of other provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

According to the Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and SudurPaschim provinces tonight and partly to generally cloudy in the rest of the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudur Paschim provinces and at a few places of other provinces. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at a few places of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudur Paschim provinces and at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces.
