Customs evasion goods seized

Sunsari. A team of Armed Police Force (APF) has seized clothes and motorcycles worth more than Rs 1.7 million brought to Sunsari by evading customs duty.

A team of Armed Police Force, Nepal-4 Battalion Headquarters, Sunsari seized clothes and motorcycles that were being illegally brought to Nepal from India by evading customs duty.

A patrolling team of Armed Police Force (APF) seized the items at Babiya Sambala Tole of Inaruwa municipality-9, said Superintendent of Armed Police Force, Nepal-4 Battalion Headquarters, Sunsari, Nirmal Thapa.

The person involved in the incident fled after leaving his belongings and motorcycle after seeing the police.

Motorcycles (Ko32 Pa 2545, Ko23 Pa 8119, Ko 15 Pa 3110 and Co33 Pa 6246) have been seized. Superintendent of Police Thapa informed that the motorcycle and the recovered goods have been handed over to the Main Customs Office, Setubandha and Koshi Barrage for necessary action.
