Kathmandu. Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has suspended all services except emergency services in hospitals and health institutions across the country in protest against the decision of the Consumer Court to take action in a case related to medical practice.

The association has called upon the doctors and health workers across the country to wear black bands from June 15.

Due to the agitation, the patients have suffered. The agitation has also affected the TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.

Due to the closure of opd, patients coming from far and wide are facing more problems. Some patients had returned today after showing their reports. They have trouble eating and living. They are in a state of confusion as it has not been decided how long the agitation will continue.
