Kathmandu. The Nepal Insurance Authority (INSURANCE) has directed all non-life and micro-life insurers to expedite the payment of claims for damage caused by floods and landslides in rasuwa district and other parts of the country.

NeA has issued this directive to all non-life and small non-life insurers on Tuesday. It has also been directed to provide the details of the claim payment to the AUTHORITY.

“In view of the damage caused to the property of the insured due to incessant rain and floods and landslides in different parts of the country including Rasuwa district on July 15, 2082, it is requested to settle the claim as soon as possible and easily as possible,” reads the directive.

NeA has directed to submit the details of the damage on a weekly basis (Thursday of every week) in the prescribed format.
