Washington. Us President Donald Trump has said that he is considering further sanctions against Moscow over the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Speaking at a Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump said he was considering whether to support a Senate bill to impose more sanctions on Russia in response to the conflict. The bill seeks to impose heavy tariffs on countries importing energy from Russia, as well as sanctions on foreign companies supporting Russian energy production.

Trump also announced on Tuesday that the U.S. Department of Defense has approved the resumption of defensive arms shipments to Ukraine, temporarily suspended, after reviewing weapons preparations.
