Kavre’s ghee beans unfit for consumption, excessive pesticides found

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Ghee brought from Kavre for sale at Kalimati vegetable market has been found unfit for consumption.

According to Kalimati Fruit and Vegetable Market Development Committee, excessive pesticides have been found in the ghee beans brought by Shanta Dhungana of Kavre for sale in the market.

86.540 percent organophosphate has been provided in the ghee beans brought by farmer Dhungana for sale. According to the committee, 86.540 percent of the organophosphate is unfit for consumption.

According to the committee, if more than 45 percent of organophosphate is given, then vegetables and fruits are unfit for consumption. It has to be dissolved.
