Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon is currently under the influence of the monsoon wind across the country and the low-pressure line of the monsoon lies in the east and slightly north of the average place in the west. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of the hilly region including Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudur Paschim provinces.

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

Similarly, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tonight. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

Stating that there is a risk of floods, landslides and landslides due to the possible rainfall, the Division has urged the general public of these areas to be cautious as there is a risk of inundation in the urban and Tarai areas.
