5 arrested with 40 kg marijuana

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal Police has arrested five persons with 40 kilograms of marijuana.

The arrestees have been identified as Nirajan Chepang, Prakash Chepang and Shankar Chepang of Gajuri-4, Dhading, Jeevan Praja and Suman Chepang of Kathmandu Maharajgunj, according to Information Officer of District Police Range, Kathmandu, Apil Raj Bohara. Police also recovered Rs 125,000 in cash from their possession. According to the police, they kept the quantity of marijuana hidden in the camp of Sunnam Chepang in Koteshwor, Kathmandu and sold it.

Two arrested in theft and robbery cases

Kathmandu: Nepal Police has arrested two persons involved in theft and dacoity cases and initiated the process to take necessary action.

According to police, they had looted a two-tola gold chain worn around the neck of a woman travelling in a bus going to Lekhnath from Ammar Singh Chowk of Pokhara on April 1, 2081. Anjan Tamang of Bethanchowk of Kavrepalanchowk and Suresh Tamang of Kathmandu Gokarneshwor have been arrested on the charge. They have been arrested from Gokarneshwor-4 in Kathmandu and remanded to judicial custody by the District Court for further action.
