Cancer treatment medicines handed over program

Kathmandu. With the support of Direct Relief, an international NON-governmental organization based in the UNITED States and in coordination with ‘One Heart Worldwide’, essential medicines and medical supplies used in the treatment of cancer were handed over to the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday.

The medicines and medical supplies arrived in Nepal on Friday and were stored by the Department of Health Services, Management Division on the same day.

The medicines and medical supplies were handed over to bp koirala memorial cancer hospital, Bharatpur, Bhaktapur cancer hospital, Bhaktapur, Sushil Koirala Prakhar cancer hospital, Banke, Bir Hospital, Kathmandu.

These medicines and medical supplies used in health problems like breast cancer, plaque psoriasis, Alzheimer’s etc. will be provided free of cost to cancer patients in these four hospitals. We would like to inform that the Ministry of Health and Population is taking initiatives to make these medicines and health supplies available continuously in the future in collaboration and coordination with the concerned agencies.

The Ministry of Health and Population expresses its heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed in this regard and it is believed that such continuous support will facilitate the treatment of cancer patients in Nepal. ।
