Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon wind is currently under the influence of the monsoon wind across the country and the low pressure line of the monsoon is in the west and some north of the average place in the east.

The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country today with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at many places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of other provinces. According to the Division, there is a possibility of excessive rainfall at some places of Koshi Province. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country. There is a possibility of wind storm in some places of Koshi Province and Madhes Province.

Similarly, it will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the hilly region including Koshi, Madhes and Sudur Paschim provinces and at a few places of other provinces.

According to the division’s regular weather bulletin issued today, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country. There is a possibility of wind storm in some places of Madhes province.

Stating that there is a risk of floods, landslides and landslides due to the possible rainfall, the Division has urged the general public of these areas to be cautious as there is a risk of inundation in the urban and Tarai areas. The general public and all concerned bodies have been requested to take necessary precautions and make preparations as the water level in large and small rivers and rivulets may rise, affecting daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, roads and air transport around the river areas.
