Kathmandu. Employees who are permanently appointed from Thursday (fiscal year 2082-83) will not get pension.

The government is going to implement a contribution-based social security system instead of pension and gratuity. The Ministry of Finance has issued a circular to all ministries, regulatory bodies, public institutions, boards, committees and establishments to make necessary arrangements to implement the social security system.

The Ministry of Finance has also requested the government not to bear the responsibility created due to non-implementation of contribution-based social security system.
