8 highways completely blocked across the country due to rain

Kathmandu. Eight highways across the country have been completely blocked due to floods and landslides triggered by incessant rains across the country.

According to the Police Headquarters, eight major highways across the country have been blocked due to incessant rain since last night.

The blockages include Koshi Highway at Bhotkhola rural municipality of Sankhuwasabha, bridge connecting Nepal-China border at Gosaikunda rural municipality of Rasuwa, Pasang Lhamu highway of Rasuwa, Araniko highway at Bhotekoshi rural municipality of Sindhupalchowk and mid-hill highway at Shivapuri rural municipality of Nuwakot.

Likewise, jajarkot Dolpa Bheri corridor road at Athabiskot municipality of Rukum west, Karnali corridor at Simkot rural municipality of Humla and mid-hill highway at Chhedgad municipality of Jajarkot have been completely blocked.

Similarly, road section from Tokha of Kathmandu to Nuwakot, Kaligandaki Corridor at Baglung Municipality of Baglung, Kaligandaki Corridor at Gaindakot Municipality of Nawalparasi East, Beni-Jomsom road at Thasang Rural Municipality of Mustang and Shaheed Highway at Parivartan Rural Municipality of Rolpa have been operated one-way.
