Kathmandu. Bimal Poudel has been recommended as the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court. The Judicial Service Commission has recommended Senior Registrar Poudel as the Chief Registrar.
Man Bahadur Karki has been recommended for the post of registrar. Now they will be appointed after the cabinet’s decision.
Poudel has also served as the spokesperson of the Supreme Court. Poudel, who served as the head of the case branch, was appointed registrar in December last year. He has headed important divisions including planning and research, administration of the Supreme Court.
Poudel has a master’s degree from the UK in the scholarship and an additional degree from the University of Minnesota under the Humphrey Scholarship in the US. Chief Registrar Devendra Raj Dhakal has retired from service today due to age limit.
