Kathmandu. Eight highways across the country have been completely blocked due to incessant rain across the country.
According to the Police Headquarters, koshi highway at Bhotkhola rural municipality of Sankhuwasabha, bridge connecting Nepal-China border at Gosainkunda rural municipality of Rasuwa, Araniko highway at Bhotekoshi rural municipality of Sindhupalchowk and Besisahar-Manang road section at Marsyangdi rural municipality of Lamjung are among the highways blocked due to incessant rain since Sunday night.
Similarly, rudraveni bami road section at Satyawati rural municipality of Gulmi, Ridi Wami road section at Chandrakot rural municipality of Gulmi, Jajarkot Dolpa Bheri corridor road section at Athabiskot municipality of Rukum west and Dashrath Chand highway at Patan municipality of Baitadi have been completely blocked.
Similarly, the road section from Tokha of Kathmandu to Nuwakot, Kaligandaki Corridor at Baglung Municipality of Baglung, Kaligandaki Corridor at Gaindakot Municipality of Nawalparasi East, Beni-Jomsom road at Thasang Rural Municipality of Mustang, Prithvi Highway at Bandipur Rural Municipality of Tanahun and Shaheed Highway at Parivartan Rural Municipality of Rolpa are operating unilaterally.
