Kathmandu. Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel has been actively involved in preventing misuse of government land.
Minister Poudel had asked the ministry officials to immediately collect details about the status of the land of various federal hospitals, centers and laboratories after it was found that no initiative was taken to conserve the land.
On the basis of this, the Ministry has issued a circular to send the details to the hospitals, laboratories and centers within seven days. The Ministry is preparing to take necessary steps if encroachment is found on the basis of the information received.
Earlier, Minister Poudel had also taken initiative to conserve the encroached land in the name of Shaheed Gangalal National Heart Centre. Now preparations have been made to use the land for the expansion of the center’s service.
Although there have been complaints of encroachment of government hospital land across the country, minister Poudel has started strict action to prevent misuse of land in some places as the exact details of the land have not been received.
According to the ministry’s internal analysis, some of the land has been given on lease while some are yet to be registered. According to Minister Poudel’s secretariat, there has been a problem in the service delivery in some places, while the rest are likely to have an impact on the expansion of the service in the coming days.
Ministry spokesman. Prakash Budhathoki expressed the belief that the efforts made to conserve the land of the federal hospitals would yield positive results.
