Six arrested with drugs in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Six persons have been arrested from different places of Kathmandu for their involvement in illegal drug trade.

Police have arrested five persons while carrying 600 tablets of nitravates at Namyagal Road of Gokarneshwor Municipality-2 in Kathmandu and one person from Samamukhi of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 with brown heroin.

Police have made public those involved in drug trafficking today. The arrestees have been identified as Saroj Shahi, 25, of Kalikot, Surya Lama, 24, of Sindhupalchowk, Bimal Magar, 33, of Kavrepalanchowk, Ashish BK, 34, and Manbir Gurung, 30, of Kaski and Shankar Rajbanshi, 33, of Jhapa.

According to District Police Range, Kathmandu’s Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chand, 109.22 grams of brown heroin, one digital scale, nine mobile phones and Rs 82,635 in Nepali cash were recovered from Rajbanshi.
