Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal Police has arrested 47 people involved in criminal activities in different parts of Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and District Police Range, Kathmandu, jointly conducted an operation and arrested them along with gangster Chakre Milan on Thursday night. Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Chief, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramesh Basnet said that a person involved in hooliganism and criminal activities has been arrested from Thamel and Maharajgunj areas.
“We have arrested those indulging in unwanted and hooligan activities and they are being interrogated,” he said. He said that he was arrested for his involvement in fighting in restaurants and clubs and extorting money for weeks.
Police arrested Yubaraj Gurung alias Sanubhai, who was involved in hooliganism, from thamel’s dori evening around 3 am on Thursday. He was arrested after a fight with another group at Nagarkot Dori in Nursing Chowk, police said.
