Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is leaving for Turkmenistan on Sunday leading a Nepali delegation to attend the 3rd United Nations Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries to be held in Awaja city of Turkmenistan.
Prime Minister Oli is visiting Turkmenistan at the official invitation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for the summit to be held from August 5 to 8, 2025, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prime Minister Oli is also scheduled to address the conference as chairman of the Global Coordination Bureau of the Least Developed Countries. He is scheduled to co-chair a high-level roundtable meeting of the conference and also address various other programmes.
On the sidelines of the conference, Pm Oli will hold meetings with the heads of delegations of various countries and high-ranking officials of the United Nations and other international organizations.
His wife Radhika Shakya, chief advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, member of the federal parliament Surya Bahadur Thapa Chhetri and high-ranking government officials will also be part of the delegation. Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to return home on August 14.
