Kathmandu. New models of electric vehicles (EVs) are being introduced in the Nepali market. With the introduction of new models, options are being added for customers. Competition between new brands is also intensifying.

Recently, the Jili EX5 Series, produced by China’s first privately owned and one of the largest, Jili Auto Holding Group, has entered Nepal.

LRR Motors has launched two Models of Jili, Jili EX5 Pro and Zeely EX5 Max, especially targeting nada auto show 2025.

In terms of design, technology, battery capacity and price in the Nepali EV market, these models seem to have a very high competitive advantage compared to other models. These models are available in five attractive colors: Snow-White, Frosty Grey, Moonlight Silver, Carbon Black and Tukroise Green.

Both models use 60.2 kWh LFP short blade batteries. The company claims that other short blades are considered to be higher in terms of safety, energy density, efficiency and sustainability than other normal short blade batteries.

The battery, manufactured by the automaker Gilly Holding Group itself, has been certified the world’s first water, fire and bullet-proof with eight needle tests. The battery has a life span of 3,500 charge recycles (about 1 million km or 50 years). Which is much more than the capacity of any other battery available so far.

LRR Motors, the official importer, said it has also given a warranty of eight years or 200,000 km on the battery of Gilli’s vehicles. The 160 kW (215 horsepower) motor connected to both models has the ability to complete the speed of 0 to 100 km-hour in 6.9 seconds.

It has a mileage of up to 530 km as per CLTC test and 430 km as per WLTP measurement, which is considered sufficient for nepal’s geography.

The exterior design of the Jili EMA X5 series is based on a modern aerodynamic profile. These include LED headlights, taillights and attractive front grilles. The interior features a 15.4-inch touch screen infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital cluster, wireless charging, voice command, panoramic sunroof and five-layer seating technology.

These models include six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, AEB, blind spot monitoring, hill vulgarity and other safety technologies. Both ema x5 pro and ema x5 max have integrated smart ui, the ability to control the speed of the vehicle through the app.

The price of EMA X5 Pro has been fixed at 5.8 million Nepali rupees for the Nepali market. Similarly, the EMA X5 Max has been priced at Rs 6.8 million. Considering the situation and interest of Nepali users, the company has said that it will provide some special benefits in price during the NADA Auto Show.

The company believes that these models will be popular among Nepali consumers due to attractive prices, long range, state-of-the-art technology and luxury interiors. These two models of Jili will attract the attention of consumers in the vehicles entering the price range in the Nepali market. The company claims that Geely will be much cheaper than the price set by competing brands.
