Nawalparasi. Butwal– The Butwal-Narayangadh road section has been completely blocked due to landslide at Daunne Hill.

Nawalparasi(Bardaghat Susta East) two-way road has been obstructed due to landslide near Bishwakarma Temple at Daunne Hill of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2.

According to District Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) Superintendent of Police Yadav Dhakal, the highway, which was one-way since Monday morning due to incessant rain, has been completely blocked since 1:00 pm.

Superintendent of Police Dhakal said that efforts were being made to open the road which has been obstructed one-way. It has been difficult to clear the landslide due to continuous rain.

Hundreds of passengers and drivers are now stranded in the middle of the road due to the road blockade. Butwal-Narayangadh road section has been obstructed several times due to the erosion of daunne hills during the expansion.
