Ghorahi. Dang’s only coalbase customs has collected nearly Rs 1 million more revenue than the target.
According to Customs Chief Lok Bahadur Bista, the customs has collected Rs 17.2 million in revenue against the target of Rs 16.36 million for the last fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Of the revenue collected, Rs 1.5 million has been recovered from the case and the rest has been collected from temporary imports, he said.
Chief Bista said that a large amount of revenue is collected from the vehicles used by the citizens coming from India for worship and roaming in ramjanaki temple, Swargadwari temple of Pyuthan and Chaughera temple in Dang along with Koilabas area.

The office had set a target of collecting Rs 1.2 million revenue in July last year, but only Rs 923,000 was collected. Chief Bista informed that rs 619,000 was collected against the target of Rs 1.3 million in August, Rs 708,000 out of Rs 1.326 million in September, Rs 913,000 against the target of Rs 1.289 million in October and Rs 891,000 against the target of Rs 1.368 million in November.
Similarly, rs 3 million 46 thousand against the target of collecting Rs 1.325 million in December, Rs 1.249 million against the target of Rs 1.254 million in January, Rs 1.1 million against the target of Rs 1.44 million in February, Rs 1.032 million against the target of Rs 1.443 million in March.
