Probe committee on ‘cooling off period’ submits report to Speaker

Kathmandu. The Special Committee to Investigate the Errors in the Report of the Federal Civil Service Bill submitted its report to Speaker Devraj Ghimire today. Committee coordinator Jeevan Pariyar submitted the report to the Speaker at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.

The committee had prepared it by sitting at Singha Durbar overnight on Monday night. The committee had decided to present it in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives. The committee held 37 meetings for 29 days and finalized the report.

The House of Representatives had formed a high-level inquiry special committee on July 15. Jeevan Pariyar and Sushila Thing of Nepali Congress, Narayan Prasad Acharya and Ishwori Gharti of Nepal Communist Party (UML), Madhav Sapkota of Cpn (Maoist Center), Ganesh Parajuli of Rastriya Swatantra Party and Roshan Karki of Rastriya Prajatantra Party are in the committee.
