Bagmati. Eight ministers took oath of office and secrecy today on the recommendation of newly appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Indra Bahadur Baniya.
Baniya, who was appointed chief minister, had appointed eight ministers including six from the ruling nepal communist party (UML) and two from the Nepali Congress soon after taking oath of office and secrecy from province chief Deepak Prasad Devkota.
On the recommendation of Chief Minister Baniya, UML’s Madhusudan Poudel has been appointed as Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister, Dr Dinesh Chandra Devkota as Physical Infrastructure Development Minister, Jairam Thapa as Minister for Labour, Employment and Transport, Bharat Bahadur KC as Minister for Forest and Environment, Kiran Thapa as Health Minister and Bindu Shrestha as Minister for Industry, Commerce, Land and Administration.
Similarly, Krishna Kumar Tamang has been appointed as the Minister for Drinking Water, Energy and Irrigation and Shivaraj Adhikari as the Minister without Portfolio. Province Chief Devkota administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers today.
