Kathmandu. Laxmi e-Mobility has launched China’s emerging electric vehicle brand ‘Fourthing’ in the Nepali market. The company unveiled the first model of forthing at the National Auto Exhibition ‘Naima 2025’ of Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association being held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu from July 21 to 25.
The Fourthing brand, which is globally known for its smart design and state-of-the-art electric mobility technology, has made its debut with premium electric SUVs in Nepal. The company claims that this vehicle will meet the changing needs of Nepali customers by incorporating performance, technology and modern design.
The SUV is powered by a 64.4 kW battery and a 99kW motor. Therefore, this SUV can cover a distance of more than 400 kilometers. According to the company, this car can be a suitable option for long distances from travel in the city. The permanent magnet synchronous motor provides an easy and quick driving experience and special attention has been paid to comfort, ease of use and smart technology in interior design.
Laxmi Group, which has played a leading role in the development of the country’s automobile sector, has expanded its presence in the automobile business in the past decades by distributing passenger and cargo vehicles and auto parts through world-renowned brands such as Hyundai, BMW, Kai, SML Isuzu. Now the company has said that fourthing is also going to be added to this journey.
In May 2024, Laxmi Group launched Nepal’s first four-wheeler vehicle assembly plant – Laxmi Motor Corporation (LMC) – Ramgram, Parasi (Nawalparasi). This state-of-the-art assembly plant for Hyundai vehicles has taken a historic leap in automobile industrialization in Nepal. Laxmi Group has become the first Nepali group to operate such a facility.
Similarly, laxmi group has expanded its network of more than 63 recharge networks and repair stations called ‘Relax’ across the country to facilitate customers and strengthen the EV infrastructure. This has made the use of electric vehicles more simple and reliable in Nepal.
