Kathmandu. CpN (Maoist Centre) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the MCC has been passed with explanatory remarks on the insistence of his party.

Releasing a book titled ‘MCC in Nepal’ authored by Nirmal Lama Memorial Foundation Chairman Leelamani Pokharel here today, he said the MCC was in favour of Nepal as it was passed with explanatory comments.

Chairman Dahal said, “The MCC has been passed unanimously with explanatory remarks in front of the people, which itself has become the door to agitate for national independence. Now there is a place to speak in it. ’

He clarified that the MCC was passed with explanatory comments on the insistence of the Maoist Centre after receiving information that there would be some place to speak on the basis of the Vienna Convention with suggestions received from experts in international law.

Chairman Dahal said that the book released for those advocating for and against MCC is a readable material.

CpN (Maoist Centre) leader and author of the book Pokharel said his party had passed the MCC with explanatory comments in compelling circumstances.

Speaking at a programme organized at the party office in Parisdanda today, Academy Vice-Chair and CpN (Maoist Centre) leader Dinanath Sharma expressed the belief that the book would be important for the readers who want to understand about the MCC.
