Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet against Deepak Poudel, an office assistant at the Transport Management Office, Kaski.

According to EC spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel, a team deputed from the Commission’s office, Pokhara, took him into custody while he had taken a bribe of Rs 7,000 from the service provider on the basis of a complaint that he had demanded bribe from the service seeker to fill the ‘online’ form of driver’s license and pass the ‘trial’ examination by passing the written examination.

“A charge sheet has been filed at the Special Court, Kathmandu today as it was established that poudel had demanded Rs 7,000 bribe from the service providers with the intention of filling the online form before the expiry of the driving license period, passing the written examination and also helping in the trial,” he said. ’

According to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), poudel has been sentenced to imprisonment in accordance with sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 and a fine as per sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.
