Sunsari. The water level in saptakoshi river has increased due to incessant rainfall. Superintendent of Armed Police Force Nepal No. 4, Nirmal Kumar Thapa, said that the water level in koshi barrage reached 2430 cusecs per second as measured at 9:00 pm on Saturday.

According to the measurement center, 28 out of 56 gates of Koshi Barrage have now been opened. According to the control room, red lights are lit as a sign of danger after the water level through koshi barrage crosses 150,000 cusecs per second.

Superintendent of Police Thapa said that no damage has been reported to the eastern embankment so far. The water level has risen due to incessant rains for the past few days.
